Donovan received his B.S. in Neuroscience from UC Santa Cruz after serving in the United States Marine Corps. He then worked as a research specialist in the Cadwell Lab at UCSF, where his work focused on identifying cellular and circuit-level alterations in glioma using multi-modal approaches (e.g., Patch-seq) across model systems and resected human primary tissue. Now a Neurosciences PhD student at Stanford, Donovan is broadly interested in neural plasticity, circuit restoration, and computational approaches to modeling and understanding brain function.
